Verify digital certificates
As of the spring of 2024 degree certificates and other certificates (e.g. course certificates) can be issued entirely digitally in Ladok.
This enables students to download an e-stamped certificate that can be verified by the recipient of the document. The certificate that the student retrieves is a representation of the decision stored in Ladok. Therefore, it is possible to download the certificate as many times as needed, and the information will always be identical to the current decision in Ladok.
Verify the document
Since the digital certificate is e-stamped, it is possible to check if the document has been altered since it was downloaded from Ladok. You can verify the document by uploading it to Ladok’s verification page.
It is also possible to verify the e-stamp by using established pdf readers.
Verify information of an issued certificate
In addition to verifying the document, it is also possible to verify the decision in Ladok. This can be done for all certificates, including those that are not digital.
To do this, the student needs to provide you with a verification code. Using the code and the individual’s personal identification number, you can access information about the certificate and its details. The information is retrieved directly from Ladok.
