FAQ Sharing degrees
Yes
The sharing dissapears from Ladok for students. On the verification page, the recipient gets information that the personal identity number and/or control code is incorrect.
If your verification code doesn’t work, please contact the higher education institution that issued your degree to get help verifying your degree.
It is also possible to log in to Ladok för students using eduID with a user account via Antagning.se/Universityadmissions.se.
Alternatively, you can log in with e-identification. To do so, navigate to the login page for Ladok for students and proceed to Ladok for alumni.
If you do not have access to this, please contact the higher education institution that issued your degree to see if it is possible to extend the validity of your student account.
A simplified version of your degree is displayed. You can see what is shared with the recipient by logging in to the verification page using the control code and your personal identity number. The same code can be used multiple times and by multiple recipients.
No, at present only the results that count towards your degree are displayed. To see other results, the recipient will need a transcript of records.
No, only information about your degree is displayed (including course results).
If your degree is registered in Ladok but cannot be shared, it is because the higher education institution has not enabled “share degree” for its students.
There are a number of programmes that do not lead to a degree but for which a certificate of completed education is issued. At present, these certificates cannot be shared with recipients. The list of certificates that can be shared may be expanded in future.
Verification is made against the real personal identity number; i.e. the same personal identity number used on the degree certificate, not the one used in Ladok.
Verification of a degree awarded to a student issued with a T-number is against the personal identity number registered in Ladok at the time of verification. This applies regardless of which personal identity number is stated on the degree certificate or whether or not the student has been issued with a personal identity number by the Swedish Tax Agency (before or after the degree was awarded) that has not been registered in Ladok.
